Lord of the Dance
Born in Columbus, Ohio, Zach started dancing at the age of 5 with the Richens/Timm Academy. He became a Regional champion, North American runner-up and placed in the top ten at the World Championships four times. He was then invited to join the cast of Lord of the Dance where he has toured the world and is now performing the lead role of " Lord of the Dance".
Matthew Smith began Irish dancing at the age of five in South Norwood, England. During 13 years of successful competition he won two All Ireland titles and multiple Great Britain, British National and Southern Region Championships.
At the age of 18 he joined "Lord of the Dance" and after a year of performing with Troupe 2, achieved his ambition by becoming "The Lord".
Zoltan Papp was born in Budapest, Hungary, where he started Latin-American and Ballroom dancing at the age of nine. He then studied ballet, modern and Hungarian folkdance and received his diploma as Theatrical Dance Artist from the Hungarian Dance Academy High School and University.
At twenty-one, after only two years of studying Irish dance in Budapest, Zoltan joined the cast of an Irish dance show and went on to perform the lead role worldwide. One of Zoltan’s dreams came true when he danced the lead role of “The Dark Lord” opposite Michael Flatley.
Ciaran Plummer hails from Toronto, Canada where he started dancing at the age of 4 in his father’s studio. Ciaran began entering Irish dance competitions quite young and later reaped the rewards of his hard work by winning two world championships at age 16 and 17.
At the age of 18 Ciaran joined the cast of “Lord of the Dance” in Las Vegas and later moved on to tour North America with T2 where he currently performs the lead role of “Don Dorcha, The Dark Lord”.
Originally from New York, Declan Crowley began dancing at the age of six. After achieving multiple Eastern Region, North American, and All-Ireland Champion titles, he competed internationally with the Broesler School of Irish Dance until 2008.
Declan had the privilege of joining Michael Flatley himself in "Feet of Flames" in 2009, and has since toured the world with "Lord of the Dance". He is thrilled to be performing his dream role of "Don Dorcha, the Dark Lord".
Bernadette Devereaux began Irish dancing in Baltimore, Maryland at the age of 6 . She is a four-time Regional Champion and has received medals at the National and World Championships . At the age of 19, she joined "Lord of the Dance" and now enjoys performing the lead role of "Saoirse."
Katie began Irish dancing in Chicago, IL at the age of five. She competed until she was 18, winning several regional and national championships. She also has numerous medals from the All-Irelands and the World Championships of Irish Dance.
Katie joined “Lord of the Dance” at the age of 18 and had the privilege of dancing with Michael Flatley in “Celtic Tiger”.
Andrea Kren began training in Hungarian dance at the age of 6 and continued to age 18. At 13 she also began training in Irish dance and at 18 included contemporary dance courses.
Andrea took part in the World Irish dance Championships in 2005-2007 and her awards include the Middle European Championships from 2004-2007.
She is delighted to be performing the role of "Morrighan" in Lord of the Dance.
The Little Spirit
Sophia started dancing at the young age of 4 studying ballet, tap and modern jazz. She later went on to train professionally at Stella Mann Performing Arts College. At 22, she received her diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre and went on to work for Disney dancing in various productions in Paris.
Sophia joined Lord of the Dance in 2010 touring in Holland and Belgium and is proud to be joining the 2012 tour performing her dream role of "The Little Spirit".
