The Irish Team joins Superstars of Dance

Ireland will compete in the sensational new dance show "Superstars of Dance" which debuts on NBC, January 4, 2009.

Produced by Nigel Lythgoe and Simon Fuller and hosted by Michael Flatley and Susie Castillo, the new show is described as the "Olympics of the dance world" as professional dancers from eight countries compete. Teams from Argentina, Australia, China, India, Ireland, South Africa, Russia, and the United States will be judged on performances in the categories of solo, duo and group.

Ireland will be represented by Cherie Butler, Debbie Carroll, Ciaran Connolly, Siobhan Connolly, Bernadette Flynn, Kelly Kendry, Niall Holly, James Keegan, Owen McAuley, Ronan McCutcheon, Roisin O'Donnell, Damien O'Kane, Zoltan Papp, Alice Reddin, Sarah Redmond, and Stephen Walker.

The judge from Ireland will be Daire Nolan and the coach will be Marie Duffy Pask.

The show will run from January 4 - January 26, 2009. Check your local NBC station for broadcast times and be sure to tune in and see which country takes home the trophy!
