Follow Your Dream, Day #423: James Devine

Join OG Troupe legends Gillian Norris, Denise Flynn, Michael Donnellan and James Devine as they discuss the creation of the original Lord of the Dance and focus on stories with James himself!

In the world of #IrishDance, there are few names as prominent as "Jesse" James Devine. James is a true #LordOfTheDance OG, having been one of the handpicked few whom Michael Flatley brought onto the Des O'Connor Show in 1995 to debut a prototype version of Warlords -- the first glimpse anyone had of the mysterious new "Lord of the Dance" show Michael was creating.

Nicknamed "Jesse James" Devine, the fastest feet in the west, James is a three-time world champion and has gone on to create and star in his own shows, most recently working with David Geaney. He also runs a successful business as an Irish dance fitness and nutrition coach. Earlier in 2020, he reappeared in Lord of the Dance for the first time in decades via the Dance For Hope II video, which saw the OG Troupe reunite for charity.

All of this, of course, begs the question: what happens in 2021?

Answer: Planet Ireland arises.
