It's #ThrowbackThursday, so how about another never-before-seen fan bootleg? Continuing our theme from yesterday, here's Cry of the Celts from Wembley 1998!
Seeing the original show in one unbroken take from one angle like this is incredibly rare, because this was several years before smart phones were invented, and photography was not allowed in venue. It would have been impossible in 1998 to picture the seismic shifts in all our lives that the rush of the digital age was about to bring; today you can view this on a portable computer in your pocket, but that reality was science-fiction when this performance took place, and it is a testament to the timeless magic of #LordOfTheDance that it endures and captivates across generations.
Look closely at this footage -- how many cast members can you pick out? There are several familiar faces in the 1998 troupe during its record-setting 21-night run at Wembley.
After months and months of lockdown, it's easy to wonder if touring shows will ever return. But this too shall pass -- and the Cry of the Celts will be heard and seen once more.
