Ladies and gentlemen: #LordOfTheDance is back.
Today was the first rehearsal Team Lord has had in nine months. And it's worth pointing out the magnitude of the task ahead: to prep for a #FeetOfFlames stadium tour with a 90-strong troupe that's over fifty-percent new, compressing two weeks of rehearsals into 72 hours. It's a feat few would even attempt -- but in the world of #IrishDance, Lord of the Dance is the proverbial tip of the spear, capable of making the impossible seem merely difficult.
Rehearsals are like focusing a lens on a camera: you can see the picture through the viewfinder, but tiny adjustments bring everything into sharp focus. And Team Lord got off to an excellent start today, finishing a very long rehearsal in good shape.
There is something about standing inside a huge venue again and realizing that soon it will be filled with screaming fans. Suddenly, what seemed like a distant concept during quarantine has become very real.
As Team Lord always does, it rises to the occasion.
Taiwan -- let's dance.
