Quick heads up: we won't be livestreaming tonight as there isn't enough bandwidth for a stable broadcast signal inside the venue. So, instead, we wanted to give you something special: Liam Costello's final encore with #LordOfTheDance.
Liam, also known as "Bling" and "Mush" amongst the troupe, is a Team Lord veteran of 17 years. Literally half his life has been spent onstage with Lord of the Dance. It is a special and bittersweet moment when one of the veterans finally hangs up their shoes, and we dedicate this production journal entry to him.
It's hard to explain the bond that's formed by a touring company. When you spend every waking moment with the same group of people, all focused on the same task, it creates very powerful friendships that last a lifetime. We will miss Mush, and he now joins the ranks of our hallowed Team Lord alumni.
To celebrate, we put a camera on Bling when he went out for his final Planet Ireland performance, so that you can see what he saw as he performed it, intercut with some (grainy) footage from out front to give a sense of perspective.
Please join us in celebrating Bling's career. One of the greats has retired -- but he saved the best for last: a #FeetOfFlames stadium tour.
