Follow Your Dream, Day #588: Learning from the Lord

This is #LordOfTheDance Matt Smith performing Michael Flatley's legendary #FeetOfFlames solo in Taiwan during last month's Impossible Tour.

For those of you who have seen Dance For Hope IV, you know that aside from Michael himself, only four lords know the secret of the dance: James Keegan, Cathal Keaney, Damien O'Kane, and Matt Smith.

This is the most high-profile #IrishDance solo in the world. It has been performed live to audiences of over 110,000 people.

There are two reasons why we're sharing this image today:

The first is motivation. The #IrishDancing world is facing one of its hardest challenges right now, with this pandemic that's gone on for a year. Consider it a test: are you driven to dance anyway, to keep learning remotely, to climb the mountain when the grade becomes that much steeper?

The second is determination. Inspiring words are all well and good, but what about actual tools to help succeed? To that end, we livestream FREE Irish dance sessions multiple times per week, where you can learn show steps directly from Team Lord. *Tonight,* for instance, at 6pm GMT, the man in this photo will be teaching you, interactively, *live.*

Read that again. You can literally click a button and learn from the Lord of the Dance, interactively asking questions and getting responses during the lesson -- *free.* Every week.

Obviously this is good for the brand because it allows us to entertain our audience digitally when we're all locked at home. But it also serves as a useful tool for the Irish dance world, which is looking for new ways to keep students engaged as the pandemic continues.

Lace up your shoes and let's get to work. There's a mountain to climb, and the steeper the slope, the more rewarding the view from the top.
